Abstract:
Robusta coffee grows at altitudes, less than 1500m above sea level. For good growth temperature range of 18 —27 °C is desirable. The rainfall should average 1200-1500 mm/year and well distributed for a period of about 9 months. For the land a flat or gently slopping terrain is suitable. Robusta coffee grows well on deep, well drained, fertile loamy soils (rich in organic matter and exchangeable bases particularly potassium).
